Electric Forklifts are realized by manipulating the brakes. Whether the brake operation is correct or not is an important condition for ensuring safety.
The braking method can be divided into two types: predictive braking and emergency braking.
Emergency braking is an emergency stop measures taken by the driver to avoid accidents when the electric forklift encounters a sudden dangerous situation while driving. Emergency braking can cause great damage to all parts and tires of electric forklifts. Often, because the braking force of the left and right cars is not the same, or the adhesion coefficient of the left and right tires is different, the electric forklift has a tail and the direction is out of control. Therefore, emergency braking can be used as long as it is unavoidable.
The operation method of emergency braking is: master the steering wheel, look at the front with both eyes, quickly raise the accelerator pedal, and immediately step on the brake pedal, and at the same time tighten the hand brake lever to exert the maximum braking force of the vehicle, so that the Heavy Load Electric Forklift Stop immediately. For internal combustion forklifts, deceleration parking brakes are used during operation. That is, in the process of picking up or unloading the fork, the speed of the forklift is smaller and safer. Because this distance is short, the engine is not turned off, and the driver often depresses the clutch pedal to slow down and slide, so that when the fork is in place, the brake pedal is depressed to stop. It can be seen that the predictive braking is an operation action frequently used in forklift operations, and it is the key to improving work efficiency and ensuring safety.
